PRESERVING GOOD MEMORIES OF LIFE

Just another day, the heated up May afternoon in Hyderabad was giving me a tough time both mentally and physically. I was sweating profusely and cursing the architecture of the house, the design of kitchen, the noise of gadgets and almost everything which came in the range of my vision. After winding up all the work, I sat with a loud thump on the sofa and leaned back. My mind wandered in the days of my childhood when i used to lounge on the bed with the same relaxed feeling, potato sandwiches and buttermilk kept by my side and a 'Chacha Choudhary' comic to look forward to. To finally have my mother, who is a working lady, back from the office by 6p.m and have my favourite food around always made me feel like that was the best possible moment i could
live in the day.
This memory of my childhood that i relived on the sofa, lifted up my spirits. I got up and had a chilled glass of
water and by then was raring to go for everything ahead. But also, at that time i acknowledged the feel of relaxed and tension free mood we carry as children. I also acknowledged my mother's thoughtfulness of bringing me the sandwiches and buttermilk I so much love(till date). I felt thankful towards her and also realised how for granted we take our parents or guardians till we depend on them. Now i always make it a point to wish well being to her every time i call her. And now i always relish and enjoy my free time with the same care free feeling i used to have in my childhood. Its a great stress buster.
People talk of positive energy released by the positive thoughts in our mind. But very often, its not possible for
all the people to chant,"I can do it, I can do it" or ,"This too shall pass, This too shall pass" at the time of
crisis. It doesn't work for everyone.  But  in these times if we just think of one good incident which made
our day in the past, it can just change the whole mood of the present. That memory can make us blush or it can make us proud or it can overwhelm us with happiness. Whatever it does, it will sure bring a smile on our face. This whole experience can give the motivation needed or show us a ray of hope. And that can be the positive energy surrounding us.
Its not mind's job alone to keep all the good memories safe. Diaries, Journals, photos and videos are meant just
for that. Sometimes we can just open our journal, read the entries and get nostalgic or go through the old pictures and be amazed at the changes time brought in the appearance of our parents or best friend or our own self.
Beautiful memories should always be preserved very attentively and carefully. They add up to make the essence
of our lives. By noting them in pages or capturing them in camera, we make deposites in our account of appiness. So friends, don't forget to make a diary entry today and note even the smallest greeting given.

Everybody goes through their own share of struggle and its these good memories which hold us up in bad times. The good moments of our lives justify all the downs we went through so far. They are more precious than the expensive jewels we posses because the purpose of life is more or less formed by the memories in our mind. So friends, aren't they worth keeps??

Very true, most of us fail to respect and remember what our parents have done for us, they do not expect anything from us other than our love and may be a good word which will make them happy. Good subject and very good vocab. Keep up the good work.
