Everyday through our actions and thoughts, we presume that our lives move on. Yet when we observe our life closely, we realize that we have a poor understanding of life and its purpose.
Life is definitely a continuous struggle against nature – external and internal. This continuous struggle for survival can be compared with a steel spring continuously trying to uncoil itself. Life is a moving process and we always try to find out an easy way to success. In doing so, we become confused regarding our directions in life. This mental confusion enables us to feel who we are, what ate, what we struggling against and what should be our objectives.
This is a natural process of human mind which is occupied all the time by a variety of thinking. Man thinks a lot. If we look at our life, we find that we are burdened with frustration and anger in spite of having all that should make us happy. So it is imperative that we need to try to acquire a good understanding of life and its purpose.
For human beings, the need to feel useful is fundamental. We just cannot be happy as long as we do not ascertain a purpose for our life; i.e. human life in particular has value in the scheme of thing. It has to be noted that without self-fulfillments that come from feeling useful, life would become a void. Each person therefore must seek for a mission in life having two aspects. These are realizing our real nature and also being at service to others. These two aspects together will determine the quality of our own life.

Life is an exciting business and most exciting when it is lived for others. It is rightly said by our ancient wise men that “he who lives for himself is more dead than alive and he alone is alive who lives for others.” If we sincerely try to realize our true individuality, we will discover that the core of all human being is essentially divine. This realization has immense potentially which remains untapped. An understanding of human life will open up a new patch for better and harmonious world.
