4IW reaches the first anniversary!
Dear writers,
This edition marks the first anniversary for 4IW. We thank all our writers for making this happen and would particularly like to thank those writers who have been there with us almost from the beginning of our journey.
We would also like to thank those writers who have constantly provided us with their constructive suggestions as well as criticisms and alerted us promptly when things went wrong in the website.Finally, we appreciate our existing writers welcoming new writers thereby steadily extending the 4IW community. The larger and stronger our community, easier it is for us to maintain our uniqueness among the numerous similar types of websites out there in cyberspace.
On this occasion, would like to clarify some doubts that a few writers may have had about this website. Some of you maybe thinking why we are doing all this and maybe we have some ulterior motive behind this initiative. We started this platform to give an opportunity to amateur as well as professional writers to come together, share their work and help each other improve their often hidden writing talent. The payment part was an added incentive. While the compensation was encouraging for amateur writers, it was just a token for the professional writers who are far better compensated by the bigger publishers out there.We look forward to the same level of support from all of you in the coming year. With your support, it will not be too long before our initiative is noticed by our future sponsors and advertisers who can help us take our web magazine to the next level in terms of number of articles published and the amount of remuneration.We encourage everybody to keep spreading the word about 4IW whenever you get a chance and once again thank everybody for being associated with 4IW community during the past year.Best Regards,

Congratulations guys. Never did have doubts about your motives... you all are too transparent too have ulterior motives. Its been a pleasure writing here and getting to know some wonderful writers. The new look is smart and I would like to wish you all much success. May 4iw become a huge success!

Recently I was featured in a popular women's mag as an 'online writer' who has given up a regular job and successfully navigates the web for a living...I have had umpteen calls from perfect strangers asking for info on websites that welcome new writers and pay them, and 4iw is the foremost reccommendation that I give...
You have boosted the sagging morale of many a woman( in some cases men too)and brought back hope into their lives by flashing their name on board on Saturdays...This is no small thing to do, and I hope you continue to encourage new writers. All the best for a successful year ahead!

Hi friends, I have just written to you, thanking you for accepting my first poem "As I Walk Down Memory Lane".However I did not know, that it was on the anniversary day that my first poem was published. It gives me a great sense of pride to be a part of this great site, which will surely be one of the topmost Blogger sites in the world.

I echo all the sentiments expressed above and entirely agree with neha in tgis when she says the 'serials'deserve special mention.It is in my opinion a coup! Not many publish serials and this in itself helps would be 'novelists'.So on many counts 4iw is way ahead of its competition- including its payment schedule- already.So many happy returns and may 4iw go from strength to strength.

I had all but given up writing, if it wasnt for a dear friend who suggested I write for you. Getting published in 4IW gave me tht confidence i needed to get in touch with my passion - writing.

At the outset, I would like to begin with a very cliched saying... it takes all sorts. There will always be compulsive doubters, compulsive criticisers and .... well compulsive writers !
I feel this forum has been the breeding grounds for many a compulsive writer, has given many a homemaker/non-writer the opening and confidence to write, which indeed ain't so easy in the Indian writer's market.
And thats what counts !!
My wishes have always been there with this venture.

Never any doubt in my mind that you were all pukka, Team. Your integrity shines through with every response to emailed queries and submissions. You are never anything less than approachable and accommodating and I love being part of this website - and that's from someone who doesn't usually do blogs. The standard of work on show here simply compels me to respond.
As I've said before, it's like being part of a worldwide writers' circle, all supporting and encouraging one another to work and to achieve. I warm to people I've never met, simply from the comments they leave about others' work. Their personal insights move me, sometimes to tears, others to laughter. Can't imagine another online community like this one. You are growing and evolving and that's all to the good. We'll all grow along with you.

Hello,
My hearty congratulations to the team on their first anniversary. Honestly, I have not come across another site that is so open and so encouraging and so paying. I was working in IT, which I had to give up for several personal reasons. I lost my husband very early on and since I have family commitments that prevent me from taking up regular office jobs, this site has given me a way to give expressions to my feelings and experience a sense of accomplishment, however minor. Thanks.
