Save the girl child
Month 1Cradled in your cozy womb,
Step by step, my life bloomsMonth 2
You nurture me and protect me too
Together we shall explore the world new
Month 3I can feel your emotions and your touch
I already care for you very muchMonth 4
Bound by a heartbeat, we are so close
I am now complete from head to toes
Month 5You have learnt that I am a girl today
Why has your mood turned gloomy and grey?
Is there no place for a daughter in your heart?
Why kill me before my Life even starts?
Say no to female foeticide...Save the girl child

We require such poets who can radically change the thinking of few Indians who do not value the importance of a baby girl. Excellent poem. Please write more on such topic. Let us save baby girls & save our nation.

I agree with you. Let us actively fight against this menace & save baby girls. We should forward this poem to as many people as possible & convey the feelings of that unfortunate girl child

hai nandita,obviously i cant express my feelings before u as i am a girl.Great,u r great dear..May the inhuman attitudes towards girl child have to wipe out through such a valuable poems...think without a girl there is no generation...superb...
