Vaagobal: Roarrrr… Grrrrr… I hereby declare that Mumbai belongs only to the ‘Marathi Manoos’. If anyone has other Ambanitions, they can Saifly, Khan it, as I am the only Aamir manoos in Mumbai. I won’t SRK from the one and only one agenda left. You see I have to revive my dying pride, (pun intended). So, Mumbai is my ‘Raj’, no one can  give me any ‘Ra’hool.

(Our very own Marathi Sher Khan, you see he is allergic to the word Khan, hence, the desipan.)

Vulture 1: My name is Khan. King Khan. I have made a Mannat to love all mankind. Then be them our own countrymen or our neighbours. Haven’t you heard of the commandment, ‘Love Thy neighbours’? Cricket is as good as our National Anthem. Isn’t it rude not to include our neighbours in our game?

Vaagobal:  Roarrrr… Who is this new cub in my forest? I am the only King here. Mumbai is mine, to do as I please.

Mowglandhi:  Not any more. You have roared one time too many. See being a mere Indian I have made my presence felt in Mumbai. I traveled with the cattle and you could do nothing but sulk with your tail …..

Vaagobal:  Roarrr no! Not another one. I repeat Mumbai  Maajha Aahe!!! (Sob sob, I tried my level best to drive him away, but Alas, looks like I have to sharpen my claws.)

Cheetambani:  Take it easy, Saheb, the Sun is setting on your ‘Raj’, (again, pun intended). Mumbai belongs to all Indians.

Vulture 2:  Hello… if Obama had to think like you, another Maharashtra will have to be created to accommodate all the ‘Marathi Manoos’ living at present in the US of A. What an Aamir, I mean rich idea.

Vulture 3: WOW! I Saifly agree with the ‘Khan’daan. See, haven’t I brought accolades to this city when I received the Padma Shri. C’mon man, grow up. Oops! Not much scope there I guess.

Vaagobal:  Roar sob sob… I don’t care what anyone says, Mumbai is mine, er, I mean the Marathi manoos.

Vaagobal: Sob, sob, sob….

Sallu the Bear: Let me in, let me in too. I too want my fifteen minutes of fame. I want to settle a personal score. Um um um, what do I have to say? Ah yes why didn’t the vulture swoop on the neighbouring prey? Ganpathi Bappa Moraya.

Vaagobal:  As if warding off three idiots was not enough that a fourth one has to jump onto the mad bandwagon.

Mowglandhi:  ROARRRR… I am the only one who will inherit not only Amchi Mumbai but Apna Hindustan by default. So take a chill pill and eat your desi burgers (vada pav).

KaaMNS: Hissss… Itssss nicccce to ssssee that I could sssstir up sssuch a sssstorm. After all I was the one to awaken the sssssleeping ‘Marathi Manoosss’

And finally what does the tired Mumbaikar have to say?

Shut up! Let us slog in peace so as to keep the wheels of the enigma known as MUMBAI running. No one cares a damn about the basic infrastructure or amenities that we lack. We don’t need any king to rule us and not a toothless one at that.

This King is definitely a ‘Kaan’case.

      hi vimala,
u r right. It is a very pitiful effort to regain a glory that is not justified at all. A glory that has on the contrary only created a lot of distruction and destruction physically and mentally.

Asha, these are for publicity... otherwise what is the need of SRK to open his mouth when his film is due for release. What is the need of Rahul to come to Mumbai and roam around with a batalion of police and in an exclusively Raildabba... all are mad and useless.

Maybe, but for every sane and thinking person there is one who is gullible, and it is these people that r taken advantage of. This is depicted very well in the marathi film 'Jhenda'

      hi seema,
i totally agree with u, but sometimes actually many atime i get the feeling that though we r progessing in many ways we r definitely regressing as far as our humanistic approach is concerned. It is becoming more of a dog eating dog world. We r unnececssarily giving more imp to petty matters which need not be discussed at all. My sincere apologies to the animalkind.

    Hi Asha chechi,

After having read and heard so much on the issue, I was certain that I didn't want to invest any more time or energy on the so-called controversy. But your animated take on the Marathi Manoos was definitely worth a read. Enjoyed your style...hope to read more of your blogs!
